“Since working with you, the quality of conversations with my leadership team has gone way up” ~ Kyle Dunsire, Founder & CEO, Ingenuity

Background

Facilitating personal, professional and group transformation is the common thread that is woven throughout my multidisciplinary career and education.

I have over 10 years experience coaching business leaders online and in person. Recent clients have included executives and emerging leaders in finance, technology, education, social services and SME business leaders. Earlier clients included many entrepreneurs and founders.

I started my career as a facilitator with Australia’s leading community engagement specialist, designing and facilitating workshops with public sector clients including Queensland Ambulance Service, Brisbane City Council, NSW Department of Housing and the Urban and Regional Land Corporation (Vic).

Since 2001, I have been a certified practitioner in The Journey method. The Journey is a profound tool for personal transformation incorporating self awareness, emotional intelligence, relational intelligence, neuroscience and cellular healing. I now lead the Australasian region, for the international training and development organisation that teaches this method.

I hold a BSc in Environmental Science, majoring in social policy and development from Griffith University, and, more recently a Graduate Certificate in Organisational Coaching from Swinburne University.

I am a member of the International Coaching Federation, the International Association of Facilitation and the International Institute for Complementary Therapies.

I also host the Awakening Leadership podcast.

“Yollana demonstrated seamless leadership and is very knowledgeable in her field.”

 My Why

The Dalai Lama once said that “each individual has a universal responsibility to shape institutions to serve human needs”. My mission is to help business leaders evolve themselves, their teams and their organisations, to make the world a better place.

How I Work - Coaching

With a broad knowledge and depth of experience, I draw from over 100 tools, models and frameworks to support leaders and teams to elevate their thinking, behaviour and outcomes.

The integral approach supports leaders to understand and navigate their inner self, outer behaviours, and the organisational cultures and systems they are a part of. This encompasses person-centered, systemic and solutions-focused coaching to support an empowering coaching partnership that is relevant, meaningful, effective and sensitive to the wider context. I also draw on six domains framework to coach fluidly across multiple contexts, including personal life, personal development, career goals, skills and training, organisational dynamics and business context.

Specifically, I help leaders:

  • Develop self-awareness and wellbeing through mindfulness, emotional intelligence and somatic awareness, and using frameworks and assessments that shed light on personality and leadership style.

  • Develop healthy, functioning, trust-filled teams through understanding group dynamics and team dynamics.

  • Develop relational intelligence and communication skills to improve relationships and communication.

  • Develop organisational awareness for navigating complexity and change using system-mapping and systemic constellations tools.

  • Recognise and enable learning and growth through adult development, learning styles, personal development, and reflective practice.

  • Apply systems-thinking to broaden their leadership perspective, embrace ecological awareness and think inclusively

Here is a comment from one of my executive coaching clients:

“Yollana’s coaching style recognises that the client is the expert in their field and that they already have the potential to deliver on their vision. She asks the right questions, listens, then facilitates a dialogue that evolves that vision to a position that can ultimately be articulated to others and with a clear plan to achieve it. While working with Yollana is a partnership, her coaching methodology is such that ownership is clearly mine, it’s my vision and my plan.

Yollana’s coaching approach provides structure, accountability, and motivation to enable someone to grow beyond what they would do alone.

I highly recommend Yollana to anyone looking to add an alternative viewpoint to their Leadership skill set. She has positively challenged a number of my traditional leadership views and provided new thought processes for dealing with all stakeholders in my sphere of leadership influence. I look forward to further working with Yollana during this important period of my career.”
