Background
Before moving into the world of uplifting the human experience at work I have worked in the Travel & Recruitment Industry where I held various Senior Management Positions in Germany, New Zealand, and Australia. Having been exposed to a highly differentiated portfolio of clients, characters, and industries for 10+ years my strength is to quickly grasp processes and professions and identify the needs for human or business capabilities.
I hold a Bachelor of Business (HR and Marketing), a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Certificates is High Performance and Systemic Coaching and I am qualified in Mental Health First Aid and as a REACH Profile practitioner. As a start-up founder my business TeamTalks Pty Ltd won a seat in the EY Foundry Accelerator Program and I graduated from the Founders Institute.
My Why
Imagine a workplace where you go home with your energy tank still half-full, not drained. Imagine how much better you would show up for yourself and your loved ones.
Imagine a workplace where people lift each other up, instead of putting each other down.
For this to happen it needs inner work and self-awareness and a leader who sets the right environment through clear expectations and genuine care.
I want to democratise personal development at work for all, leaders, and employees. This will achieve a collective uplift of consciousness and connection.
How I work
Everything I design, deliver, or facilitate revolves around a human centric design. My genuine curiosity and care about the people I work with, help me to form relationships based on trust and mutual respect. I am an advocate of experimental learning and storytelling because people don’t remember what you say – but how you made them feel.
“I found the session with Birthe engaging, fun, challenging, thoughtful and inspiring.” This is the consistent feedback I receive.
While I am a keynote speaker on Wellbeing, Culture and Effective Teams I believe we have two ears and one mouth so that we can listen twice as much as we speak.
What I do
My passion is to help individuals, teams, and organisations to uplift and build heart skills like conflict management, communication, collaboration, big-picture thinking, and understanding self and others.
The results are increase in ownership, personal and peer-to-peer accountability, humility, psychological safety, and high performing teams.
I have worked with executive teams on their high-performance objective, facilitated large-scale leadership programs and delivered training to front-line workers.
While I happily facilitate one-off workshops, ideally, I like to work on long-form and group-based solutions to increase the chance of lasting behaviour change and a shift in mindset.
My skills include project management, design of face-to-face or online programs, instructional design, Learning Management Systems, micro and mobile learning, coaching and online learning video production
What I love
On a rare, free weekend you might find me in a karaoke bar or dancing like no one is watching. I love baking with my children, go for a bush-walk with our Covid puppy Lucky and practice meditation, yoga, and mindfulness.
