Background
I have a BA (Hons) Applied Social Science with English and a MA in Social Work and worked for a Local Authority in the UK as a Social Worker prior to relocating to Perth in 2007. I worked in the area of Out of Home Care as a practitioner, senior practitioner and manager of an NGO for 13 years and have a post graduate qualification in Developmental Trauma. I completed my qualification in Executive and Organisational Coaching in 2020 and am a member of the International Coaching Federation. I am currently working towards my Associate Certified Coaching credential and volunteer on the Communications team for the WA Branch of the ICF.
My Why
I am passionate about supporting people and seeing their growth and development and helping them to see their strengths in new light. Seeing someone uncover a new thought or way of seeing the world and being a part of this fills me with energy.
How I Work and What I Do
I have a warm, gentle and engaging style, providing a safe and supportive space which enables people to consider things from a new perspective and encourages them in their growth. Through active listening and skilful questioning, I am able to build trust quickly and enable people to go beyond the surface level.
What I love
I am an avid reader and enjoy an eclectic mix of genres. I also try to get out in nature and explore the bush walking trails around Perth when I can.
