Stuart is former military officer and served with the UK and Australian Special Forces for over thirty-six years. During a diverse military career, Stuart worked with many of the world’s elite armed forces, other government agencies and non-government agencies designing and implementing solutions to achieve success. He is passionate about developing individuals and teams to fulfil their potential through setting and achieving personal and team goals.
Background
In an extensive military career, Stuart specialised in leadership, mentoring and training selected soldiers and officers for service in the UK and Australian Special Forces. He understands the importance of being adaptable, forward thinking and accountable from his extensive operational deployments to hostile, high-risk and rapidly changing environments.
Specialties
In addition to his career in leadership and mentoring, Stuart transferred to the unique and diverse background of military special projects and capability development to achieve operational and strategic effect. He has worked closely with national and international industries and original equipment manufacturers in design and development of modern underwater diving and mission systems.
On transition from the military, Stuart trained as an Executive and Organisational Coach, blending his diverse military experience to a new environment of coaching individuals, teams and organisations. Stuart’s focus is on effective listening, communication and emotional intelligence to build trust and support for rewarding and productive progression.
Today, having successfully transitioned and adapted to his new life as a coach and facilitator, Stuart uses his unique interpersonal and communication skills, underpinned by his engaging and calm manner, to coach individuals and teams in setting and achieving their own unique goals.
Passions
Stuart is an active PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor and passionate about the maritime environment. Completing hundreds of dives exploring the underwater world of marine life and its incredible eco-system, he shares his passion with those he teaches and has qualified over four-hundred students in his part-time hobby.
