Background

Erin is a strategy consultant and executive coach based in Hobart, Tasmania. Over more than 20 years, her work has encompassed senior executive and leadership roles in export trade and international relations, climate change, tourism, education, and skilled migration, across the public, private, and non-profit sectors. This has given her experience working directly with Premiers, Ministers, Ambassadors, Boards and CEOs to develop strategy and implement change.

Through her Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Business Administration, Erin developed a deep interest in behavioural economics, organisational behaviour, habit formation, strategy development, and decision-making. She is on track to complete a Master of Science in Coaching Psychology through the University of Sydney in late 2022.

She holds various coaching accreditations, a TAE Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and is a certified vinyasa yoga teacher.

My Why

Despite over 100 years of leadership research, every one of us can remember at least one terrible boss. I believe that leadership is a skill set that can be mastered, and that everyone deserves a job that is fulfilling and rewarding. My mission is to develop great leaders and workplace cultures, so that together we can achieve great things.

How I work

My genuine, consultative approach helps leaders across the private, public and non-profit sectors to develop clear strategies for complex situations, so that everyone on their team knows exactly what to do and why. People describe me as calm, professional, articulate, helpful and humorous.

The diversity of my experience enables me to blend the theoretical with the practical, to connect with all kinds of people through shared understanding, and to work hard in the pursuit of excellence.

I use a variety of strengths-based, solutions-focused coaching tools to help clients reach their own insights and develop action plans to achieve personal and professional growth.

What I do

I help leaders go from good to great by developing the strategy they need to succeed and the organisational culture they need to achieve it.

Drawing on cutting-edge research on leadership and organisational behaviour, I can help you to create the type of organisational culture you’ve always wished you had.

Through tailored coaching, training and facilitation for teams and individuals, I help people to resolve conflict, negotiate effectively, listen better, and bring out the best in each other. That means they can not only deliver results, but actually enjoy going to work.

I love coaching at all levels – from graduates acclimatising to the world of work through to senior leaders grappling with wicked problems.

“Erin is one of those rare finds – highly intelligent, impressively capable with a fantastic sense of humour. She brings a people orientated approach to everything she does. She has an amazing ability to build relationships and communicate the complex in easy to understand terms. She has helped me to view issues from a different perspective; cutting through the immediate to the bigger picture. Erin has assisted me navigate through a period of career uncertainty, providing me with guidance around which to reflect and formulate plans with clear actions and outcomes.”

“I recently had the pleasure of experiencing Erin's admirable coaching talents in dealing with a time-critical matter that required a carefully considered approach. In the space of exactly sixty four minutes Erin proved her worth as she analysed the situation, its perceived effects, explored different scenarios, clarified my expectations and aspirations, made excellent recommendations and provided invaluable guidance at a time when I really needed it. Thanks, Erin for providing this service, you have found your calling!”

“With her characteristic insightfulness, humour and professionalism, Erin coached me through the process of securing a new and exciting role.
She helped me to distill a sense of clarity about my ambitions and attributes—and, importantly, built my confidence in how to best communicate them. Erin is someone you want in your corner.”

What I love

I love travelling, fine food, fashion, fitness, reading, writing, and stand-up comedy – and of course my husband, our daughter, and my Rhodesian Ridgeback Audrey, who is reliably my #1 fan.
